Explore the value of enhancing your family connections during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic with Educator and Author, Dr. Khalid White. Dr. White is an award-winning Ethnic Studies Professor and Lecturer in the African American Studies Dept. at San Jose City College. Learn critical skills for keeping all members of your family engaged and connected. In this support seminar, participants will gain an understanding of how to support family socioemotional well being through identifying strengths, providing effective communication strategies and finding ways to “unplug” from devices.
Who should attend: Anyone who cares for/nurtures children & youth:

Aprenda habilidades críticas para mantener a todos los miembros de su familia involucrados y conectados. En este seminario de apoyo, los participantes lograran entender cómo apoyar el bienestar socioemocional de la familia mediante la identificación de sus puntos fuertes, ofreciendo estrategias de comunicación eficaces y la búsqueda de formas para “desconectarse” de los dispositivos.
