Barefoot Chamber Concerts ("an enterprise noted for both its quality and informality" - San Francisco Classical Voice) presents really good music in the right acoustic and without the formality of most classical music events.
The opening concert of our 2026-27 season is, for us, a rarity: a wild variety of textures - from pieces for two players (Michel Blavet's arrangements of Francois Couperin), to chamber music for several players (a Paris Quartet by Georg Philipp Telemann), to an operatic aria or two (Jean-Philippe Rameau) to a concerto for a true chamber orchestra with a trio in the middle (Johann Sebastian Bach's Brandenberg Concerto no. 5).
The Yarrow Consort is an inflorescence of favorite Bay area talents, all well-known to you from many local concerts: Joe Edelberg, violin; Stacey Pelinka, flute; Yuko Tanaka, harpsichord; David Morris, cello; Michelle Kennedy, soprano; Kati Kyme, violin; Anthony Martin, viola; and Farley Pearce, bass. We're very lucky to have so many fine musicians on the stage to kick off the season.
