An evening of film, photography, and conversation to benefit a youth kayaking exchange program between Chilean and U.S. students on Aysén Patagonia’s endangered Río Baker and the Grand Canyon of the Colorado River. Take in a screening of Weston Boyles’ film about the Chilean kayaking club that this event will benefit, enjoy a cocktail reception and slideshow of photos of the beautiful region of Aysén, learn about the proposed hydroelectric dams that will forever change the landscape of Aysén and the lives of the Chilean kayakers, and hear from environmental leaders about the effects of damming rivers, both locally and abroad.
Featuring presentations by Kenneth Brower and Jerry Mander.
With support from International Rivers, Patagonia, Inc., and The Patagonian Foundation.
