In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Chez Panisse, BAM/PFA is pleased to present a retrospective of French filmmaker Marcel Pagnol, whose spirited cinema gave Alice Waters the name for Chez Panisse Restaurant.
Waters will be giving lectures before multiple screenings. Marcel Pagnol's characters have also inspired the name of two other local eateriers; Café Fanny and César. See schedule here.
