When did you last encounter death? How did it look, smell, taste, feel? What is it like on the other side of the wheel, just beyond where we can see? Will we let ourselves go there?
Within the Wheel is an original, immersive performance event inspired by the Tibetan Book of the Dead and interviews with hospice patients and workers that provides an encounter with death in a thoughtful, artful and meaningful way. The show will be an interactive journey through the great between and a reflection on the cycle of life, featuring original live music, theatrical performances and striking visual design.
Six interactive art and performance installations run continuously from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Audience members travel at their own pace, but we recommend at least an hour to experience the entire show. Come early to see it in the light or later to see it with darkness and illumination.
