Female Victim Punched, Robbed Early Sunday Near UC Campus
The suspect approached a female victim, punched her in the head and stole her purse before fleeing from the scene on Hearst Avenue.
BERKELEY, CA — University of California at Berkeley police are alerting the public about a robbery that occurred in the area of the campus early Sunday morning.
The robbery was reported at 1:21 a.m. in the 2200 block of Hearst Avenue, where a suspect approached a female victim, punched her in the head and stole her purse before fleeing, according to police.
Investigators only described the suspect as wearing a white shirt and black pants. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Berkeley police at (510) 981-5900.
