Missing Woman With Alzheimer's Found Safe

The woman was missing overnight in Berkeley.

BERKELEY, CA — A woman who went missing Tuesday evening in Berkeley has been located, police said.

At about 6 a.m. today, Berkeley police announced that 87-year-old Wyda McDougal was located unharmed a few blocks from the board and care facility where she resides.

McDougal, who has Alzheimer's disease and cannot speak, was last been Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. near the care facility in the 2100 block of Carelton Street.
