Man Severely Hurt in Berkeley Pedestrian Crash at Telegraph Ave. and Carleton St. (pacificattorneygroup.com) — A 20-year-old man was critically injured after a driver struck him while he crossed Telegraph Avenue at Carleton Street in Berkeley on Friday night. Berkeley police say the Oakland driver stayed at the scene, and the department's Fatal Accident Investigation Team is now handling the case, underscoring safety concerns at this busy neighborhood intersection.

UC Berkeley extends job offer to Israeli professor nine months after discrimination settlement (dailycal.org) — UC Berkeley has finally extended a job offer to Israeli dance scholar Yael Nativ, nine months after settling her discrimination complaint and promising to bring her back to campus. Frontline's bargain hunting scoops up Berkeley office for under half of pre-pandemic price (therealdeal.com) — A major downtown Berkeley office complex at 1936 University Avenue just sold for under half its previous price as vacancies continue to pressure the local office market. New owner Frontline Realty Capital is betting on Berkeley's walkability and BART access, planning turnkey suites to attract tenants after the building's vacancy climbed to around 40 percent.
