Man vandalizes Berkeley church, attacks contractors with pipe, police say (ktvu.com) — A man was arrested after allegedly attacking three contractors with a metal pipe inside the shuttered Trinity United Methodist Church near UC Berkeley, causing about $20,000 in damage, police said. The Saturday morning incident, across from the Recreational Sports Facility during Cal's busy move-in weekend, led to multiple felony assault and vandalism charges in Alameda County.
