UC Berkeley Cancels Classes On Wednesday

The campus is expected to be blacked out by a planned PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff.

BERKELEY, CA — Classes at the University of California at Berkeley are canceled for Wednesday because most of the core of the campus will have no power, university officials said.

Electricity will be off starting at about 8 a.m. due to the PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff.

The campus will be open but services will be limited, according to university officials.
