Beverly Hills Community Development Director Takes New Job In SLO
Timothea Tway, who has been a key City Hall staffer for over a decade, is heading to the Central Coast.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Timothea Tway, who has worked in key city positions for over a decade, is leaving her post as director of community development next month.
Tway accepted a role as community development chief for the city of San Luis Obispo. Her last day in Beverly Hills will be June 19, according to a release.
The city will announce the process for hiring a new community development director in the coming weeks. That role oversees residential and commercial planning and development, community preservation, rent stabilization and more.

“I am deeply grateful for my 11 years in Beverly Hills and will truly miss the people I work with and the community members I have come to know so well,” Tway said.
“As a San Luis Obispo native with family still living in that city, this is a rare and special opportunity that my husband and I believe is the right decision for our young family. I would like to thank the members of the Beverly Hills City Council and City Manager Nancy Hunt-Coffey for the opportunity to serve as director.”

Tway started in City Hall in 2012 as an assistant planner and worked her way up to become community development director in 2022.
