Bike-Theft Attempt Ends With Stabbing, Attempted Murder Charge In Beverly Hills: Report

A man who tried to steal a child's bike stabbed a person who was trying to stop the theft, according to a report.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — A Los Angeles man is being held on $1 million bail after he was arrested on a charge of stabbing someone in Beverly Hills after trying to steal a child's bike, according to a report.

The incident occurred Monday afternoon on the 100 block of South Bedford Drive near the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard. Geovany Huerta, 20, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.

KTLA reported that the victim was stabbed while trying to stop the theft of a child's bike.
