Brooke Mueller Evades Lawsuit in BH Gated Community, Attorney Alleges

The ex-wife of actor Charlie Sheen and mother to his twin sons is being sued by her former assistant for back wages.

Brooke Mueller, the ex-wife of actor Charlie Sheen, is evading being served with a lawsuit for back wages filed by a former personal assistant who says he was forced to work for her up to 130 hours a week, the plaintiff’s attorney said today.

Lior Masaphor is seeking compensation for allegedly unpaid overtime, as well as missed meal and rest periods, in his lawsuit filed Aug. 20. His attorney, Mac Nehoray, told Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff today that Mueller lives in a gated community and that a process server has been unable to present her with a copy of the lawsuit and a summons.

Nehoray said Mueller’s attorney has refused to accept service on her behalf, so he will now use the alternative method of publishing a notice to Mueller in a legal newspaper.

“She knows we’re trying to serve her and she’s evading service,” Nehoray said.

A representative for Mueller, who has twins with Sheen, could not be immediately reached for comment. Beckloff postponed today’s case management conference until Feb. 27.

According to the complaint, Masaphor worked seven days a week during most of his employment period for Mueller from December 2012 until March 2013 at a flat salary of $2,400 per month. His wages amounted to about $4.47 per hour because of the time he was required to work each week, according to his court papers.

Masaphor agreed to so many hours because he “desperately needed a job at that time,” according to the suit.
