Kim Richards Arrested for Alleged Drunken Misconduct Hours After Defending Sobriety on 'Housewives' Reunion
The star of the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" was arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel after allegedly causing a drunken scene.

Kim Richards, one of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” was arrested this morning at the Beverly Hills Hotel on suspicion of public intoxication and other offenses, police said. The arrest occurred within 48 hours of the show’s reunion episode in which the reality star denied struggling with sobriety.
Richards, 50, was taken into custody about 2 a.m. She was issued a citation for public intoxication, trespassing, resisting an officer and battery on a police officer, and was released about 10:35 a.m., said Beverly Hills police Lt. Lincoln Hoshino.
Officers were sent to the hotel about 1:30 a.m. on a report of a possible fight at the Polo Lounge.

“Hotel security was reporting an intoxicated female, later determined to be television personality Kim Richards, causing a disturbance at a hotel restaurant,” Hoshino said.
“Hotel security made multiple requests for Ms. Richards to leave the property,” he said. “While being escorted off the property, Richards requested to use the restroom, then refused to leave.”

He said hotel security “made a private persons arrest, at which time Beverly Hills Police Department officers entered the restroom and took Ms. Richards into custody at 2:04 a.m.”
“Ms. Richards was displaying symptoms of alcohol intoxication, including slurred speech and belligerent insolent behavior, (and) cursing at the officers, and (she) passively resisted arrest,” Hoshino said.
She was then taken to the Beverly Hills police station, he said.
“After being transported to the station for booking, Richards kicked one of the officers in the leg,” Hoshino said. “However, the officer was not injured.”
