• Beverly Hills advances Robertson senior housing project - Beverly Press & Park Labrea News (beverlypress.com) — Beverly Hills officials have advanced an affordable senior housing project on South Robertson Boulevard by approving an option agreement with the developer, clearing the way to seek key tax-credit financing. The 62-unit project would include three levels of subterranean public parking, though city funding sources for the roughly $9.6 million parking component are still undecided and residents will have more chances to weigh in.
   

• Rosh Hashanah ushers in High Holy Days - Beverly Press & Park Labrea News (beverlypress.com) — Beverly Hills synagogues are preparing Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services, with the city temporarily easing some parking restrictions near the Saban Theatre to support worshippers. • 'Last Guest': A gay soccer redemption (socceramerica.com) — A powerful new documentary about former English soccer star Tony Powell's hidden life premiered just down the road in Beverly Hills, at the Music Hall's Lumiere Cinema, after being filmed largely around a West Hollywood motel. The film follows Powell's journey from closeted defender to long-vanished motel manager, and shows how two young filmmakers helped him confront his past, reconnect with family, and find redemption in Los Angeles' queer community.
