BEVERLY HILLS, CA – A young woman pleaded no contest Wednesday to assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly attacking a man with her car in a Beverly Hills supermarket parking lot, forcing the man to get one of his legs severed below the knee.
Jamika Marie Abair, 24, was immediately sentenced to two years in state prison following her plea, which included an admission that she caused great bodily injury to the victim, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
Abair got into an altercation with the victim on May 12, 2017, in the supermarket parking lot in the 9400 block of Olympic Boulevard, then drove her vehicle toward the victim, pinning him against a railing and severing one of his legs below the knee, according to prosecutors.
