• Butte County Libraries Go Permanently Fine-Free (gridleyherald.com) — Biggs residents who use the county library system will no longer pay daily overdue fines, after Butte County supervisors voted to make a successful fine-free pilot permanent. The change has already boosted cardholder numbers, visits, and the return of long-lost items, while still charging only for materials that are lost or damaged.
   

• Tigers claw past the Biggs Wolverines (thewestsideexpress.com) — Biggs High's Wolverines football teams endured a tough road trip, with both varsity and junior varsity shut out by Los Banos after a long bus ride and short roster. Despite early defensive stands, Biggs eventually gave up multiple scores as Los Banos piled up yards and points in both games.
