Deputies Investigating Series of San Mateo County Construction Site Burglaries
Three separate construction site burglaries occurred earlier this week in the San Carlos area, sheriff's officials said.

Service San Mateo County sheriff’s deputies are investigating three separate construction site burglaries that occurred earlier this week in the San Carlos area.
Deputies responded Wednesday to investigate the thefts, which occurred at night. The suspects took various electric construction tools including table saws, drills, nail guns and hand tools, sheriff’s officials said.

The thefts occurred at construction sites where the tools were left unsecured in a residence or garage.
Deputies are looking for a vehicle that may have been involved in the burglaries. The vehicle, which was seen driving by an area of one of the thefts Tuesday morning, was described as a brown 2000 to 2006 GMC Yukon or Chevrolet Tahoe with large chrome wheel rims.

Deputies said two light-skinned men were seen inside the vehicle.
Sheriff’s officials are warning contractors and residents that any type of construction equipment or tools left on a job site should be placed in locked containers or secured by other means.
