Dogs Report Two Possible Bombs at SFO This Week

Police responded to two reports of possible bombs at San Francisco International Airport within 15 minutes Wednesday, but neither turned out to be dangerous.

Both bomb squad callouts were the result of Transportation Security Administration bomb-sniffing dogs giving a false positive on boxes in cargo areas, according to San Francisco police.

The first report came in at 4:15 p.m. in a cargo area in the 900 block of North Access Road. The second was at a United Airlines cargo building in the 500 block of McDonnell Road at 4:30 p.m., police said.

In both cases, the bomb squad arrived and determined there were no explosives.
