Hillsborough Police Say Vehicle Break-ins Increasing
Police remind you to keep valuables out of plain sight.

Hillsborough Police are warning residents about an increase in thefts from cars during evening hours.
“Thieves have either gained entry into vehicles via unlocked doors or by smashing a window,” police said in a statement issued Monday. “The common theme in all of these cases is that valuables or electronics are left in plain view within the vehicles.”
Police are urging residents to remove all such valuables and electronics from vehicles when parked and to either park in covered garages or under motion-activated lights.
