Police said they served a high-risk search warrant for Cordero after an extensive investigation by the San Mateo Police Department’s Crime Reduction Unit. The investigation indicated both Cordero and his home were allegedly involved in trafficking, police said.
A SWAT team was part of the arrest because of Cordero’s alleged access to guns and alleged gang affiliation, according to police. Police said they arrested Cordero on suspicion of felony drug-related offenses and seized evidence including more than half a pound of methamphetamine.
