By Bay City News Service:
A 21-year-old woman has pleaded not guilty to vehicular manslaughter and DUI charges after she allegedly struck and killed an elderly woman outside of a pharmacy in San Mateo last month, prosecutors said Monday.
Sonia Toor, a San Mateo resident, entered the plea Friday after an incident that occurred at about 2:45 p.m. on Nov. 14 outside of a drive-up window at the Walgreens pharmacy at 191 E. Third Ave., according to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.

Toor allegedly struck 84-year-old Nina Falk, of San Mateo. Falk was taken to a hospital and died a day later, police said.
Investigators say Toor was driving a green Nissan minivan and was in line to use the drive-up window, then changed her mind and quickly backed up, striking Falk and driving over her.

Police officers arrived and determined she was allegedly under the influence of marijuana and possibly other drugs.
