Melancon said firefighters issued an all-clear at about 4:45 p.m., but most of the company’s employees had left by then.
She said fire crews determined the leak was not on the company’s premises though it is not clear where the gas originated.
The company will resume normal business hours on Thursday, according to Melancon.
A San Mateo County fire dispatcher confirmed fire crews responded to the leak and said that no injuries were reported as of around 3:30 p.m.
