Woman, 32, Dies in Crash on I-280 Near Hillsborough

The first report of the crash came in at 2:43 p.m. on I-280 just south of Black Mountain Road in the San Francisco State Fish 'n Game Refuge

A 32-year-old woman died Sunday afternoon in a crash on southbound Interstate Highway 280 just west of Hillsborough, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The first report of the crash came in at 2:43 p.m. on I-280 just south of Black Mountain Road in the San Francisco State Fish & Game Refuge, CHP officials said.

The woman lost control of the vehicle she was driving and crashed into a guardrail, CHP Officer Art Montiel said. The woman died at the crash site, he said.

A passenger in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital, Montiel said.
