• Agoura Road Daytime Closures Begin for Wildlife Crossing Construction (mynewsla.com) — Expect significant weekday daytime closures on nearby Agoura Road through Nov. 30 as crews advance work on the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing, with detours onto the 101 and a shuttle for walkers and cyclists. Calabasas residents can also look ahead to a Dec. 2 ribbon-cutting, capped by a public celebration at King Gillette Ranch highlighting how the new crossing will reconnect local wildlife habitat.
• SoCal Diner Chain Files For Bankruptcy After String Of Closures (patch.com) — A Marmalade Cafe location at the Commons at Calabasas reportedly lost about $50,000 a month during nearby construction, and those mounting losses were a key factor in the Southern California diner chain's bankruptcy filing. While other branches in Westlake Village, Malibu, Sherman Oaks, and El Segundo remain open and described as healthy, the Calabasas restaurant's struggles show how local construction disruptions can seriously threaten neighborhood businesses.
• Santa Monica Police Interview Indecent Exposure Victims (mynewsla.com) — A 72-year-old Calabasas resident, Michael Greenwald, has been arrested after Santa Monica police say he exposed himself to an employee at a women's clothing store and is now facing a felony indecent exposure charge. Investigators, noting his prior similar convictions, are asking anyone in Calabasas or beyond who may have experienced similar conduct to contact detectives as they review additional evidence from his home.
