• Police officer released from hospital after being wounded in shoot out (eastbaytimes.com) — A San Jose police sergeant is recovering at home after being shot during a confrontation with an armed robbery suspect, identified as a Campbell resident, who was killed in the exchange. Officers had cleared residents from the house before the shootout, and the sergeant was later released from Valley Medical Center to an honor guard of colleagues and city leaders.
