Soups and Stews are very versatile. They can be warm and creamy, hot and brothy, chunky and packed with delicious fall veggies. Soups and Stews can also be a perfect one pot meal, bring ease to entertaining, they travel well, make great left overs and freeze nicely.
We will use fresh, local, ingredients and create a couple savory soups, and a delicious winter stew. You will learn tips and tricks of soup making and take home the essential skills and confidence to recreate these delicious recipes in your own home.

Skills covered in class: Stock making, Soup basics- Vegetable, Grains, Puree’s, and Stewing, Cooking times and Temperatures, Flavor balancing, Choosing winter and early spring vegetables along with herbs to complement each soup.
Vegetarians welcome. We will have both vegetarian and non vegetarian options.
