Novato police are asking the public’s help seeking the driver who left an 8-year-old in the road after colliding with their bike Saturday afternoon. The driver of a newer black Mercedes described as an older woman is said to have briefly acknowledged the child before speeding away. A passerby stopped to help the child, who had minor injuries.
