Hazardous Waste Disposal

Discard old paint, pesticides, cleaners and other household waste free at the city’s annual hazardous waste collection.

To participate, residents must make an appointment beginning April 11, via the city’s website or by phone. Proof of Carlsbad residency is required.

At the collection, residents may dispose of one carload of waste per scheduled appointment (up to 15 gallons or 125 pounds). Residents are asked to make an additional appointment if they have more than one carload, so they comply with laws governing how much hazardous waste may be transported in one car.
