Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Carlsbad Burglary

Kurt Yeager, 52, was booked into the Vista Detention Facility on multiple charges, including suspicion of burglary and felony vandalism.

CARLSBAD, CA – An employee checking his workplace over the weekend spotted an apparent burglary in progress, police said Sunday.

Officers responded to the call of a commercial burglary shortly after 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1900 block of Camino Vida Roble, according to Sgt. Jim Willis.

The employee was checking on the business over the weekend, and spotted the burglar removing copper pipes and other items and was chased away by the employee, Willis said.

Officers searched the surrounding area, including an adjacent hillside and found 52-year-old Kurt Yeager of San Marcos hiding in the bushes. Yeager was arrested without incident, Willis said.

Yeager was booked into the Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of burglary, felony vandalism, possession of burglary tools, possession of drug paraphernalia, and parole violation.

He was held without bail and scheduled to be arraigned in Vista Superior Court Tuesday.
