They are able shop for free at the thrift store for clothes for job interviews and school as well as items to furnish a new place to live after graduation. Proceeds from the thrift store directly support the women and children at Shepherd’s Gate by providing care, safety, education and encouragement as they rebuild their lives. Meet talented Tri-Valley artists as they open their studios, homes, and collectives
The fifth Tri-Valley Artist Studio Tour (TVAST) will be held the first weekend in May, May 1 to May3. TVAST will be a weekend filled with creativity and inspiration. More than 70 artists will be displaying their art in their homes, studios, gardens, and collectives, representing the entire Tri-Valley. Participating cities include Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, San Ramon, and Danville. Visit more than 25 locations to watch demonstrations, browse art for sale, and talk with local artists. You will find all kinds of wonderful art from paintings, ceramics, sculpture, glass, mixed media, photographs, and collage, to jewelry, textiles, and wearable art.
You will be amazed by the variety and originality in the artwork. This is a unique opportunity to experience the exceptional talent of local artists. Buy directly from the artist: from small gifts and home décor to full-size wall art, there is something for everyone at TVAST.
This fun family event is open and free to the public. Come and support local Tri-Valley talent and experience the tremendous diversity the local art scene has to offer. Our Summer Program is open to the entire community for students entering 1st–8th grade. We invite you to experience a summer that combines strong academics with engaging, hands-on fun.
We offer flexible scheduling options to meet your family’s needs: • Full-Day Program (8:30 AM–3:00 PM) • Morning Academics Only (8:30 AM–11:30 AM) • Afternoon Camps Only (12:00 PM–3:00 PM)
<h3>Morning Academics: A Head Start for Fall</h3>
Each morning, students focus on math and English Language Arts with instruction designed to preview the next grade level. Our goal is to reinforce essential skills, introduce new concepts, and help students enter the fall confident and prepared.
Elementary (1st–5th Grade) students strengthen reading comprehension, writing, and math foundations through direct instruction, discussion, and hands-on learning.
Middle School (6th–8th Grade) students build critical thinking and problem-solving skills through focused math and language arts courses that deepen understanding and prepare them for the academic challenges ahead.
<h3>Afternoon Camps: Learn, Create, Compete</h3>
Afternoons are filled with engaging experiences that keep students active and inspired.
Elementary students rotate through a variety of camps including STEM challenges, creative arts, literacy exploration, and team games.
Middle school students choose a focused pathway each cycle: • Game Ready Skills &amp; Training Camp (football, soccer, volleyball) • Think &amp; Create Camp (AI tools, speech &amp; debate, journalism, creative writing, cooking, and more)
Families may also extend the day with our optional Vacation Bible School program, offering a safe and encouraging space for faith, character development, and community.
