Big Rig Fire On I-580 In Castro Valley
According to the CHP, the fuel tanks have melted. (BREAKING)

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — The morning commute is off to a sloppy start in Castro Valley.
Multiple lanes were blocked on eastbound Interstate Highway 580 just east of Eden Canyon Road near Castro Valley due to a fire involving a big rig. However, the rig has been moved to the right hand shoulder and all lanes are open. Traffic, however, is going slow.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fuel tanks have "melted and fuel has spilled onto dirt."

The fire was first reported at 5:36 a.m. A Sig-alert was issued at 6:07 a.m. and canceled at 7:13.
