
HAYWARD, CA — A brush fire that burned dangerously close to homes in the Hayward Hills was quickly contained by firefighters. No homes were lost and no injuries have been reported.
Video of the fire shows that homes surrounded the perimeter of the area that burned, with grass and trees for fuel.
The fire was reported at 1:35 p.m., according to the Pulse Point app. At 2:09 p.m., Hayward Fire tweeted that the fire had been contained at 1:56 — just 21 minutes after the initial call.
