Car Welding Starts San Lorenzo Fire
One person suffered smoke inhalation but was not transported to the hospital.

SAN LORENZO, CA — Firefighters extinguished a vehicle fire under a carport at a residence in the San Lorenzo area of unincorporated Alameda County on Tuesday evening.
The Alameda County Fire Department responded to an address on Via Cordoba at 6:16 p.m.
At the scene, they found a fire in the carport area behind the home's attached garage. They extinguished the blaze in about 15 minutes, and it did not extend into the home, firefighters said.

There was one victim treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, but that person declined to be transported to a hospital.
Investigators determined the fire started because of welding inside the vehicle.
