CHP Pursuit Near Castro Valley Leads to Crash
Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a crash Wednesday evening that occurred following a pursuit of a vehicle near Castro Valley.
The suspect, a juvenile whose name is not being released, was driving a 1994 Acura Integra north on Crow Canyon Road and was being pursued by CHP officers shortly before 7:30 p.m. when the Acura crashed into a Lexus, turned onto northbound Cull Canyon Road, left the roadway and overturned, according to the CHP. The juvenile was transported to Eden Medical Center with moderate injuries.
The 29-year-old woman driving the Lexus did not suffer any injuries, CHP officials said. The incident is still under investigation. Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
