CVSan: Naomi Lue Elected as President of SWANA Board of Directors

SWANA's Northern California Gold Rush Chapter names CVSan's Naomi Lue as an Executive Officer and President of the Board.

The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) Northern California Gold Rush Chapter recently ratified election results, and confirmed Castro Valley Sanitary District’s (CVSan’s) Zero Waste Supervisor Naomi Lue as an Executive Officer and President of the Board. Ms. Lue has been a public sector Director of the Board since 2021, and has served in various roles, including Vice President, Secretary, Chair of the Executive, Communications, and Nominations Committees, and Member of the Membership and Western Regional Symposium Committees. Most recently, she delivered the Opening Keynote Welcome at SWANA’s Western Regional Symposium conference in Sonoma County.

Ms. Lue has been a SWANA member for 20 years and has repeatedly been re-certified as a SWANA Certified Municipal Solid Waste Management Systems Manager since 2007.

SWANA’s prominent and nationally acclaimed technical conferences and training programs cover all aspects of integrated municipal solid waste management, and the Association is a major policy and technical representative of solid waste management practitioners, executives, companies, and government organizations.

The Northern California Chapter geographically includes about 40 Counties, from the Stateline Counties of Del Norte and Siskiyou, and southwards through the Counties of Monterey and San Benito.
