Elderly Man Falls Down Castro Valley Hillside, Rescued: Video
Firefighters performed a low-angle rescue to bring him to safety.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — Fire officials say an 82-year-old man was taken to a hospital after he fell about 80 feet down a hill in Alameda County Wednesday night and was rescued by firefighters, according to the county's fire department.
The man had been rescued from a hill on Greenridge Court in Castro Valley.
Firefighters performed a low angle technical rescue after the man fell down the hill in his backyard.

After the rescue, the man did not have any complaints of pain or injuries, however, he was taken to a hospital as a precaution, fire officials say.
