UPDATE: Hank's Liquors Reschedules Re-Opening
Owner of the Cherryland liquor store say they are about a week behind, and the re-opening planned for Sept. 1 will be delayed. They hope to open their doors to the public by next week.
Two years after was destroyed in an evening fire, the rebuilt store will reopen its doors with its original owners, the Padda family.
However, the business' grand re-opening, origianlly marked for Thursday, Sept. 1, may be pushed back another week.
The owners are still stocking and waiting for liquor products to arrive.

They planned to host a free BBQ for their loyal customers and the Cherryland community this weekend, Sept. 2 and 3. However, they said it will have to be delayed as well.
After the store burned in 2009, the family rebuilt the business from the ground up, investing nearly $700,000.

"A lot of neighbors liked us, so that's probably one of the main reasons why the city let us come back," said Padda, who runs the store along with his parents and brother.
There's a new building, painted green, along with fresh landscaping and an asphalt parking lot.
Despite the new look, Padda said customers can expect the same service and standards the store offered in the past.
