Job Title - Team Leader, Castro Valley Petco Primary

Focus:  Increase sales and support store and company management goals.

Job requirements:

• Assist the general manager of a PETCO store with reaching sales goals and staying within budgeted payroll hours

• Make sure the store is opened/closed daily according to established procedures

• Help train and develop store personnel

• Direct and assist with the ordering, loading, pricing, SKUing and stocking ofmerchandise according to operational procedures

• Assist in merchandising store as instructed

• Interact with customers and help them find the right animal supplies for their specific needs

• Use your own judgment when needed to complete assigned tasks

Qualifications:

• A genuine interest in the well-being of animals

• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED)

• The ability to demonstrate advanced math skills

• The ability to interact professionally with both coworkers and customers inboth written and verbal communication forms

• Previous retail experience is a plus

• The physical ability to move merchandise up to 50 pounds

• The ability to prioritize and complete tasks with little or no direction, and meet established deadlines
