Lottery Scratcher Sold in Castro Valley Wins $650K

A Castro Valley liquor store sold a winning California Lottery Scratchers ticket earlier this month that will give a woman $500 per week for the next 25 years, lottery officials said Wednesday.

Susan O’Keith’s winning ticket worth $650,000 was purchased for a dollar at Liquor King, located at 20892 Redwood Road. O’Keith’s city of residence and the date of the “Lucky Life” ticket’s sale were not disclosed. Liquor King was already on the California Lottery’s “Lucky Retailers” list, based on the number of winning tickets sold there in the previous year.
