Suspect Arrested For Hayward Mail Theft, Loaded Handgun
The person who reported the mail theft gave police a detailed description of the suspect's car.
HAYWARD, CA — One person accused of mail theft has been arrested and a loaded handgun seized, according to Hayward Police.
Officers were sent to a south Hayward neighborhood after receiving reports of mail thefts, police reported on Tuesday.
Officers were given a detailed description of the vehicle and pulled it over once it was spotted.
The driver was unlicensed and the car was ordered towed. Prior to it being towed, an inventory search was conducted and evidence of mail theft was found along with a loaded handgun.
At that point, the driver was placed under arrest.
