Taco Bell to Ring in New Restaurant on Hesperian Boulevard
The franchise, expected to open in September, sits on Hesperian Boulevard and is expected to supply about 40 new jobs.
Taco Bell will be ringing in a new restaurant this September which will sit on Hesperian Boulevard between and the Interstate 238 freeway entrance.
Several restaurant chains including Bakers Square, occupied the property in the past. However, the existing building was demolished and a new one constructed specifically for the new Taco Bell franchise.
In an e-mail, Taco Bell spokesperson Rob Poetsch had this to say about the new franchise:

Our franchisee is excited to open a new Taco Bell restaurant on Hesperian Boulevard. This location will feature Taco Bell’s “Bold Choice” design properties, which includes décor in an exciting, fresh color palette, a spacious interior, and updated equipment to improve speed with service. This location is projected to open in September and will have approximately 40 team members on staff to serve our signature tacos and burritos to our customers. In the meantime, we invite our customers to visit our franchisee’s nearby location at .
When San Lorenzo Patch posted a picture of up-and-coming Taco Bell on our Facebook page back in July, readers who did respond weren't too pleased with the new franchise. One reader even asked about the nearby Taco Bell on Via Granada (by East Lewelling Boulevard), and whether this store would be forced to close down due to its new competition.

Though Poetsch mentioned the franchise at Marina Boulevard, he failed to talk about the neighboring Taco Bell on Via Granada. Patch has not yet received any indication of this Taco Bell restaurant closing down.
