7 Killed on County Roadways New Year's Weekend
The numbers are for incidents in the California Highway Patrol's jurisdiction only.

The California Highway Patrol on Monday reported seven traffic fatalities in Los Angeles County during the 2016 New Year’s holiday weekend, one more than during the same weekend a year ago.
The 2016 New Year’s holiday weekend covered a 78-hour period that began at 6:01 p.m. Thursday and continued through 11:59 p.m. Sunday -- a period that was 24 hours shorter than the New Year’s holiday enforcement period a year ago.
Statewide this year, there were 27 traffic fatalities, compared with 28 traffic fatalities in 2015.

In Los Angeles County this year, there were 202 DUI arrests this year, compared with 236 last year.
Statewide this year, there were 923 DUI arrests, compared with 1,158 last year.
