Alleged Drunk Driver Crashes into Norwalk Home

The crash happened at 5:15 in the morning, causing major damage to the home.

A man allegedly driving while impaired crashed an SUV into a house in Norwalk today and was arrested, authorities said.

It happened about 5:15 a.m. at Elmcroft Avenue and Leffingwell Road, sheriff’s Sgt. Ralph Gama of the Norwalk Station said.

The man was taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries, and will be booked on suspicion of DUI, Gama said. His name was not immediately released.

No one was hurt in the house.

The house sustained “major damage,” Gama said.
