Authorities Identify Man Allegedly Killed by Partner
A 45-year-old man was killed when he sustained head trauma during a fight with his partner, police say.

Authorities today identified a man who police say was killed in a fight with another man at the home they shared in Long Beach.
Officers responded about 11:50 p.m. Sunday to a report of a dead man at a residence in the 3500 block of Faust Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
“Based on the preliminary investigation, it was determined the victim and a male subject had become involved in a dispute at the location,” according to police statement.

“Further investigation revealed the victim and male subject were in a relationship and resided at the location together,” police said. “During a physical altercation, the victim sustained severe head trauma.”
Paramedics pronounced 45-year-old Thomas Zunich dead at the scene, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.

Arrested at the scene was Timothy Hagler, who was being held at the Long Beach City Jail in lieu of $1 million bail, according to police and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
