Witnesses said a car pulled up to the victims, a man in his 20s got out and opened fire, then got back into the car and fled.

A shooting in Norwalk left a man dead and a woman hospitalized, authorities said Friday.

Deputies found the victims after responding at 12:12 p.m. Thursday to a call of shots fired at the intersection of Allard Street and Arlee Avenue, said Lt. Robin Limon of the sheriff’s Norwalk Station.

Allejandro Aguilar, 27, of Norwalk died at a hospital about 10 p.m. Thursday, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter. The young woman, between 17 and 25 years old, was hospitalized in serious but stable condition, Limon said.
