Report of Armed Gunmen in Harbor Gateway Office Building Turned Up Nothing

The building was locked down but no gunman was found and the all-clear was given.

LOS ANGELES, CA - Police on Thursday searched a Harbor Gateway area office building for a reported gunman.

Officers were called about 1:35 p.m. to a building at 879 W. 190th St. to investigate a report of a man with a rifle, according to Officer Aareon Jefferson of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

The building was locked down and those inside were told to shelter in place, police said.

No gunman was found and the all-clear was given about 4:25 p.m., according to the LAPD.
