Two Killed Instantly When Car Crashes into Tree in Cerritos
A vehicle drove off the freeway and into a tree, killing two people.
Two people were killed today when their vehicle ran off a freeway and struck a tree in Cerritos, authorities said.
The accident on the northbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway near the exit to the Artesia (91) Freeway was reported at 12.37 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The victims died at the scene, said Los Angeles County Fire Department Supervising Dispatcher Ed Pickett. Their names were not immediately released.
