Whitney High School Robotics Team Qualifies for Super Regionals
FTC robotics team from Whitney High School will be competing at FTC West Super-Regional Championship in less than a week.

Cogito; Ergo, Condo. I think; therefore, I build. This is the motto of Team 542 WHS Robotics, a team of 15 students from Whitney High School located in Cerritos, California. On February 14th, these 15 students, clad in their signature black polo shirts and golden ties, competed at the Los Angeles FTC Regional Championship Tournament at Monrovia High School. Cheers resounded in the gym of Monrovia High School as WHS Robotics was presented with the highest honor: The Inspire Award. With this accomplishment, WHS Robotics qualified to compete at the West Super-Regional FTC Robotics Championship to be held at the Oakland Convention Center on March 27-29. Here, 71 top teams from twelve Western States will compete for the opportunity to go on to the FIRST Robotics World Championship to be held in St. Louis in April.
WHS Robotics is a team that constantly volunteers and spreads the message of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) in their community through their annual RoboCamp for elementary through high school students and also their demonstrations in elementary/middle schools, local libraries, and city events. Their passion for robotics drives them to constantly pursue opportunities to inspire children and educate the community about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). These high school students have their eyes set on the gold as they continue to follow their passions to succeed in their upcoming competition at the Oakland Convention Center on March 27-29.
