• 22-year-old mom arrested for negligent discharge of firearm, child abuse (citrusheightssentinel.com) — Citrus Heights police recently arrested a 22-year-old mother after a gunshot was reported between neighboring Tupelo Drive apartments, with a young child present in her home. Officers say the woman reported her gun accidentally discharged while being cleaned, and she now faces firearm and child endangerment-related charges, with a court appearance scheduled later this month in Sacramento County.
